Yesterday we spent a couple of hours taking a canal ferry to the end of the line and back. In this video on the way out, it wasn't very crowded. On the way back to the center of town by the old city and the river, it was packed. Likewise, it cost us 30 cents on the way out and 60 cents each on the way back.
It gave us an opportunity to see the bowels of Bangkok and how many of the residents live and work outside of the tourist areas.
