Getting Ready for a Fantastic and Exciting 2014

As 2013 is coming to an end, Whew Dog is putting some pretty fun adventures together for 2014.

As most of you may know, our October 2013 trip to Egypt got cancelled.  And so did our trip to Key Largo to practice our scuba diving before we headed off to the Red Sea while we were in Egypt.  We felt sorry for ourselves for a few weeks and then decided that we better put those frequent flyer miles back to work on a replacement adventure.

Where to go? Where to go? Here were a few of our thoughts:

  • Machu Picchu
  • Greece
  • Thailand
  • Africa for a Safari
  • Tahiti
  • China
  • Vietnam
Well, the winner is Thailand!  We have nearly a month blocked out for touring Thailand and embedded a quick trip to see Siem Reap in Cambodia.  Since we still want to brush up on our Open Water skills before we do some diving with Whale Sharks in Thailand, we have re-booked our trip to the Florida Keys to include at least a couple of dives in Key Largo in mid-January.

Also planned so far is the quest for Gold on Alaska Airlines; keeping up the MVP Gold status allows for such great flexibility on scheduling the Whew Dog Adventures that it has to be a high priority every year.  Therefore, Whew Dog is off to Fort Lauderdale, San Diego, Los Angeles, and Boston over the next few months.
